HALLOWEEN PARTY Thanks for a Great Halloween Party! We had a wonderful turnout and great treats. Look on the Club Board for Pictures. HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL SKATE Our next club event is on Sunday, November 23 from 4:30-5:30 pm during our Club Ice at Carlson. Dress-up as your Favorite Character, Skate to Your Favorite HSM Songs, and enjoy some snacks at the end! See you there!
SNOW ON ICE The FSCR will begin rehearsals for our Snow On Ice number on Sunday, November 9 for returning members from last years crew. All members for this years show will start rehearsals on Sunday, November 16 during the last 20 minutes of Club Ice. Additional rehearsals will be held during Club Ice (Sundays) on November 23, and December 7. The Show will be held on Sunday, December 13. Our skaters for the club number are: Maddy Felder, Natalie Felder, Andrea Campos, Anchisa Pipatpinyopong, Natasha Ferrero, Diana Smital, Cassandra Hyser, Katelyn Hyser, Amanda Stamm and Tess Vrbin.
SKATING MAGAZINE -- Look for FSCR Member Madeleine Felder in the October Issue of Skating Magazine! She is listed in the National Showcase 2008 Results section for her 8th place finish in the Pre-Juvenile Dramatic Finals. Great job!
REGIONALS Great job for our FSCR skaters at the Upper Great Lakes Regionals 2008! Makala Arn placed 8th in Juvenile Freeskate. Way to go! Cassie Hyser received a 13th place in the Pre-Juvenile Freeskate. Nice job!
SNOW ON ICE CLUB TABLE The FSCR will be putting together a table for fundraising at the Snow On Ice Show. We will be selling seasonal items and refreshments. A sign-up sheet for volunteers will be on the Club Board in late November. Please consider donating 30 minutes or more to helping out your skating club.
FSCR CHICAGO ICE SKATING TRIP Plans are in the works for a trip to Chicago for skating on Saturday, January 10, 2009. We are just waiting for Charter Bus confirmation. Our schedule at this time is 2 hours of skating at the Millenium Park Ice Rink on Michigan Avenue, Lunch at Macys, and shopping time in the Water Tower Place area. Cost will be $10 per person for members and $20 for non-members. Watch for details and a sign-up sheet soon!
FALL CLUB ICE Club Ice is on Sundays from 4:30-5:30 pm at Carlson Ice Arena. The remaining dates for our Fall Session are:

A sheet of 10 coupons will cost $63 and a sheet of 5 is $32.50. Coupon sheets are available to members only, but members may use their coupons for non members skating as guests.
ROCKFORD OPEN BASIC SKILLS COMPETITION The FSCR Rockford Open will be on Sunday, June 21, 2009. Look for more details soon.

FSCR MEMBER NEWS
1. Coach Gene Heffron is the referee for the technical panel at Eastern Great Lakes.
2. Sarah Torrence was picked as the Athlete of the Week by WREX TV for her performance in tennis (playing on Auburn's tennis team) the week starting October 6th and was on the nightly news on October 8th.
3. At the NIC-10 2008 High School Tennis Conference held at Guilford High School on October 10th and 11th, Sarah Torrence played Level One and Abbey Torrence played Level Two for Auburn High School. Sarah placed 3rd at Level One and Abbey was 1st at Level Two, helping the Auburn team to win the team trophy. The top 4 in each of those levels qualified to go on to Sectionals October 17th and 18th, also at Guilford High School, where Sarah placed 2nd and qualified for the State Championships! Way to go girls!
